WHITEFISH – MSU-Northern guard Shiloh McCormick has been named the Frontier Conference women’s basketball player of the week. The league announced the news on Monday.

McCormick, who starred at St. Labre Indian School in high school, helped No. 22 MSU-Northern to a 73-64 victory over No. 17 Lady of the Lakes (Texas) in the final game of 2017. McCormick netted 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to complete a double-double for the Skylights. She also tallied six assists, a block and a steal in the win.

The Skylights improved to 9-4 on the season after McCormick drilled eight of 15 field goals against LOTL. It was the first game back for McCormick after missing nearly a month with a leg injury. The sophomore guard had averaged nearly 13 points and 10 rebounds per game this season prior to the injury.

McCormick and MSU-Northern resume their season in 2018 on Tuesday with a Frontier Conference affair against the University of Providence. The Skylights are 1-1 in league play this season.

Carroll College guard Ryan Imhoff was named the men’s basketball player of the week.
