WHITEFISH – Carroll College guard Ryan Imhoff has been named the Frontier Conference men’s basketball player of the week. The league announced the news on Monday.

Imhoff, the returning all-American, led the No. 4 Fighting Saints to a pair of home victories against the University of Calgary. Carroll earned 91-82 and 79-78 wins over the No. 2 team in U-Sports, Canada’s highest division.

Imhoff, the 6-foot-6 senior from Napa, Calif., averaged 25 points, 6.5 rebounds, four assists, 2.5 blocks and 2.5 steals in Carroll’s final nonconference games of the season. The senior shot 17-36 from the floor and made 15 of 17 free throws in the contests.

Carroll enters 2018 with a 14-0 record, thanks to Imhoff’s averages of 21 points and six rebounds per game. He also leads the Fighting Saints in steals, blocks, assists and minutes played this season.

The Saints resume conference play on Thursday with a home game against rival Montana Western.

MSU-Northern sophomore Shiloh McCormick earned the Frontier Conference’s women’s basketball player of the week award.
