KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Rocky Mountain College goalkeeper Maia Wetzel is the NAIA National Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday.

Wetzel, a 5-foot-7 senior from Billings West, corralled 20 saves for the 19th-ranked Battlin' Bears. She stopped 11 shots in Rocky's 2-1 victory over College of Idaho and added nine more in a 2-1 overtime win against Carroll College.

Rocky's women (2-4) are scheduled to close the regular season April 5-6 in a pair of home matches against the University of Providence.
