GREAT FALLS-- The University of Providence rodeo team announced the signing of Kimberlee Leier from North Dakota Friday afternoon.

Leier, a senior at Rugby High School, is an all-around athlete. Along with rodeo, she ran track and played volleyball in high school.

"I'm looking forward to having Kimberlee join the team," head coach Sylvan La Cross said. "She comes from a great family that knows what teamwork and hard work is all about. Her tenacity and outstanding character is something that will help this team continue to rise to success. Kimberlee is going to do some amazing things in her life and I'm excited that she wants the University of Providence and our rodeo team to be part of that."

She was also named to her high school's honor roll. Leier plans to study business administration at the University of Providence.

This is the second signing for the rodeo team this spring, following the signing of Teanna Layne on Jan. 30.
