Two Carroll College women's basketball players named All-American

HELENA -- Carroll College Fighting Saints junior basketball players Christine Denny and Dani Wagner were named to the NAIA All-American lists on Thursday.

Denny was named a second team All-American while Wagner was an honorable mention.

Denny, a junior from Fairfield, Washington, was No. 2 on the Saints in scoring at 12.4 points per game. She led the team in rebounding at 6.4 per game, while shooting 43% from the field and 77% from the foul line. Denny was also an honorable mention All-American in 2018.

Wagner, a guard from Havre, Montana, led the Saints in scoring at 13.4 points per game. Her five rebounds per night were second on the team. She shot 44% from the field, and 31% from deep, while knocking down 76% percent of her free throws.

Both players were named first team all-conference players after helping the Saints win the Frontier Conference regular season championship. The Saints finished an abbreviated season with a 21-10 record.
