WHITEFISH – Trey Hoagland of Montana Tech and Kaelyn Volk of Rocky Mountain College were named the Frontier Conference golfers of the week on Monday.
Hoagland, a senior from Butte, took first at the Montana Tech Invitational played at Butte Country Club with a 6-under-par 64, an Oredigger single-round record. Hoagland’s round was highlighted by nine birdies. Montana Tech captured the team title at the first Frontier Conference event of the season.
Volk, a junior from Sidney, was the women's individual medalist at the Montana Tech Invitational. She shot a 5-over-par 76 to lead the Rocky women’s team to the team title.
