BILLINGS - Chris Stutzriem looks for three sure-fire assets when recruiting football players.
"Fast, physical and football intelligence," the Rocky Mountain College head coach said on Wednesday while unveiling his latest recruiting class.
"We want 70 percent of our team to be built with kids who have won state championships, played for state championships or won their region, districts, things like that," Stutzriem continued.
His Battlin' Bears picked up seven Montana players, including Bryce, Bridger and Blake Danielson, triplets from Missoula Loyola. Rocky's 2020 signing class totals 24 players from Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, Arizona, California and Texas.
"We were on the road for three weeks in December, three weeks in January going to home visits, doing visits on campus," Stutzriem said. "The great thing about it was, after the kids left our visit, I'd say within ... about 48 hours they knew they wanted to be a part of it. A lot of good kids with high academics and great character."
