BILLINGS — Monique Rodriguez and Miranda Gallagher recorded 10 kills each, while Natalie Hilderman added 15 digs and 38 assists to propel Rocky Mountain College to a 3-1 win over Lewis-Clark State Friday night at the Fortin Center.
Gallagher hit .667, while the Bears as a team hit .277 for the match. Rocky won the first two sets, 25-20 and 25-17, before the Warriors came back to claim game three, 25-23. The Bears quickly ended any thought of a fifth, with a dominant 25-13 win in game four.
Morgan Allen and Maranda Koch added eight kills apiece for Rocky. L-C State's Brooke Kaawa led all players with 15 kills in the match.
The win moves Rocky to 3-0, into a tie atop the Frontier Conference with Montana Tech. The Bears host the Orediggers Saturday at 7 p.m.
