GREAT FALLS — For many basketball teams in the Frontier Conference, play has already resumed in 2020, but the University of Providence will have to wait until Thursday to get back at it.

The Providence men are off to a perfect start to the season at 14-0. The Argos are loaded with talent across the board, but their biggest strength, as expected, is Zaccheus Darko-Kelley, who’s averaging over 21 points a game. Darko-Kelley says that the Argos’ perfect record is nice, but it doesn’t mean much yet.

"Ever since we got back from break, we’ve been focusing on conference, so we’ve been staying hungry and looking forward to this match up," Darko-Kelley. "We’ve won a lot of games, but we haven’t won anything yet, so we’ve just go to keep going."

Providence opens 2020 with a tough MSU-Northern squad on Thursday, January 9. The Argos are welcoming the challenge.

"Northern, in my opinion is ... they might be the most talented team in the conference," head coach Steve Keller said. "They got size, they got athleticism, they got shooters. They’re probably the best defensive team in the conference. Like (Darko-Kelley) said, we’ve won all our games, but most of those don’t mean anything now. We get into conference and we’ve got to take care of business game after game."
