Providence climbs in NAIA volleyball rankings, Montana Tech makes debut

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The University of Providence climbed five places and Montana Tech debuted in the latest NAIA women's volleyball coaches' poll, which was released Wednesday.

The Argos (9-1) are the highest-ranked Frontier Conference team in the poll, moving up to No. 16 this week after previously being ranked 21st. The Orediggers (12-2) went from unranked to No. 18 in this week's poll.

Providence and Tech are off until Sept. 19 when they meet in Great Falls to kick off Frontier Conference play.

Rocky Mountain College (8-4), meanwhile, slipped from its No. 13 ranking to 23rd this week. The Battlin' Bears next host Montana Western on Sept. 20.

Missouri Baptist, Northwestern (Iowa), Park (Mo.), Indiana Wesleyan and Southern Oregon are the five top-ranked teams. To view the complete rankings, please click here.
