KANSAS CITY, Mo., -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Wednesday that Rocky Mountain College's Nolan Sherwood was selected for an NAIA All-American Honorable Mention for the 2019 season.

This is the second All-American Honorable Mention selection for the senior from Las Vegas, Nev., who also earned the honor last season.

"Nolan has been one of the top goalscorers in the conference throughout his career," said Rocky's head men's soccer coach, Richard Duffy. "I am proud of what he has been able to accomplish in his four years at Rocky."

Sherwood finished the 2019 season with 14 goals which ranked No. 42 in total goals in the NAIA. He also recorded 10 assists for a total of 38 points. He averaged 2.24 points per game which ranked first in the Cascade Collegiate Conference (CCC) and No. 19 nationally in the NAIA.

Sherwood's 53 career goals and 128 career points ranks as second most in team history in both categories.

The Battlin' Bears ended their season with a 12-5 overall record after losing to The Evergreen State College in the opening round of the 2019 CCC Men's Soccer Championship.
