BILLINGS - What started as a defensive battle on both sides of the ball between Montana Western and Rocky Mountain College ended in a lop-sided blowout.

The 20th-ranked Bulldogs spoiled Homecoming Weekend for 24th-ranked Rocky with a 38-7 road win on Saturday.

Kylar Prante's first-career 100-yard game helped propel the Bulldogs (3-0, 3-0 Frontier Conference) to a 21-7 halftime lead. Prante finished with 187 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, Joe Caicedo returned two fumbles for touchdowns as Western's defense forced five turnovers.

It's the second straight week Rocky (2-2, 1-2) has been held to seven points after last week's 44-7 loss at Carroll College. The Bears were only 2-17 on third down conversions. Lucas Overton was a bright spot for the Bears with 13 catches for 122 yards.

After starting 2-0 Rocky tries to avoid a third straight loss next Saturday at College of Idaho.

The Bulldogs return home next week for Homecoming against Eastern Oregon at Vigilante Field. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m..
