BUTTE -- The Frontier Conference announced that Carter Myers is the Frontier Conference’s Defensive Player of the Week.

Meyers, a senior linebacker from Cody, Wyoming, led the Oredigger defense in the 35-12 Homecoming victory over then-No. 15 Montana Western Saturday night. The Orediggers held the Bulldogs to just 150 yards of offense and no touchdowns. Western had been averaging over 300 yards passing per game. Myers had a career high two sacks and four tackles for a loss. He finished the game with 10 total tackles, eight were solo stops. Myers also batted down a pass helping keep pressure on the Western offense.

Montana Tech (4-1) hits the road this week. The Orediggers travel to Caldwell, Idaho for a rematch with the College of Idaho.
