Montana Tech's Becca Richtman named national runner of the week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Becca Richtman was named the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) women’s runner of the week.

The national award is the first for the Montana Tech cross country teams.

Richtman, a senior from Elburn, Illinois, won her second straight Frontier Conference cross country meet last week at the Frontier Conference Rumble at the Ten Mile Creek Park in Helena. Richtman finished 14 seconds ahead of the next runner and broke her own school record with a time of 18:28 in the 5,000-meter race.

Richtman was named the Frontier Conference women’s runner of the week the past two weeks.
