Montana Tech, Providence volleyball programs set for NAIA pool play

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The University of Providence and Montana Tech volleyball programs learned the next phase of their postseason berths this weekend, after the NAIA announced the championship pools for the upcoming national championships.

The 17th-ranked Argos, which captured a second consecutive Frontier Conference tournament crown, landed in Pool A with top-ranked Park (Mo.), No. 16 Oklahoma City and Morningside (Iowa). Providence will open pool play Tuesday, Dec. 3 against OKC in a noon match, then square off with Park the following day at 1 p.m. and finish with Morningside Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. All times are Mountain Standard.

No. 19 Tech was placed in Pool C with No. 3 Indiana Wesleyan, No. 15 Concordia (Neb.) and Saint Mary (Kan.). The Orediggers begin pool play against Concordia on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., then meet Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday and Saint Mary on Thursday, with those times yet to be announced.

The top two teams in each of the eight pools will advance to single-elimination bracket play beginning on Friday, Dec. 6. The championships will be held at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa for the 12th straight year. Matches will be streamed live via Stretch Internet, with varying pricing options available.
