WHITEFISH -- Former Columbia Falls standout and current Lewis-Clark State junior Kiara Burlage was named the Frontier Conference women's basketball player of the week, the league announced on Tuesday.

A 6-foot junior forward, Burlage helped pace the No. 25 Warriors to a 2-0 record last week. L-C State defeated No. 18 Montana State University-Northern 57-54 before topping the University of Providence 61-60. Burlage averaged 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds in the wins, drilling all nine of her free throw attempts. She also connected on 10 of 24 field goals.

Burlage had 12 points, 11 rebounds and an assist in the win against the Skylights. For the season, she is averaging 13.8 points and 6.7 rebounds with a season-high 20 points coming against Yellowstone Christian College in October.

Lewis-Clark State's Josiah Westbrook was named the league's men's basketball player of the week.
