WHITEFISH -- For the third time this season, Taylor England is the Frontier Conference's men's basketball player of the week. The league announced the news on Monday.

Carroll College's Dani Wagner was named the women's basketball player of the week, her second honor of the season.

England, Montana Tech's senior forward from Helena, led the Orediggers to an impressive conference win over Carroll College, 82-62. England had a solid double-double of 20 points and 15 rebounds, knocking down 6 of his 10 field goal attempts. He was also 8-of-11 shooting at the free throw line.

It was the first win of the season for Tech, which has had five games canceled this winter.

Wagner, a senior from Havre, paced No. 6 Carroll to a 2-1 mark last week, including a Frontier Conference-opening win over Montana Tech. The Saints beat the Orediggers 68-57 behind 18 points and five rebounds from Wagner, who hit 7 of 12 field goals in the contest.

The Saints traveled to Lewiston, Idaho to meet Lewis-Clark State College, where Wagner's 21 points, eight rebounds and two steals lifted Carroll to a 65-60 win in Saturday's contest. The Warriors bested the Saints 60-50 on Sunday, with Wagner adding 11 points and four rebounds.

For the week, Wagner averaged 16.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, one assist and one steal, hitting 17 of 33 field goals. She also knocked down 8 of 9 free throws for Carroll.
