HELENA -- Carroll College senior soccer player Charly Clements became a CoSIDA academic all-American, which was announced Monday morning.

Five different CoSIDA first-team selections boast a 4.0 GPA and as a group they averaged a 3.92 GPA.

The NAIA Academic All-America® program is financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2019-20 NAIA Academic All-America® teams.

Clements, a senior from Nederland, Colo., started 17 of 18 games for the Saints, while scoring two goals and recording three assists. She helped the Saints advance to the Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament and finish with a 9-7-2 overall record.

While impressive on the pitch, Clements holds a 3.97 cumulative GPA while studying Biology for Secondary Education.

Clements is the first Saints women’s soccer player in program history to receive CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.
