HELENA -- Carroll College Fighting Saints women’s basketball coach Rachelle Sayers announced the signing of Bozeman High standout Addison Ekstrom. Ekstrom becomes the first signing of Sayers’ 2021 class.

"Addi is the real deal,” Sayers said. “She can play 1-4 positions for us. She is a great athlete and has been a part of a lot of wins at Bozeman High School, on not only her basketball and volleyball teams, but her track team as well. She has great length and she led all of (Class AA) in 3-pointers made last year and can really get down and guard. She is going to be a great addition to our team.”

The 5-foot-10 combo guard is entering her senior year at Bozeman High. As a junior, she served as the Hawks’ team captain on the hardwood, while being named first-team all-state. She scored 14 points per game, shot 41.2 percent from the field and 36.6 percent from deep. Her 52 made deep balls led Class AA.

Ekstrom is an accomplished athlete in soccer and track and field, as well. Heading into her senior season, she’s earned nine varsity letters. She became a first-team all-state selection in soccer her junior year, while also winning a 1,600-meter relay state championship in track and field her sophomore year.

She’s been an eight-time academic all-state selection and current holds a 3.94 GPA.
