HELENA -- The Carroll College Fighting Saints women’s basketball team added another member to its coaching staff this upcoming season with the addition of Taylor Edwards.

"We are excited about welcoming Taylor to our staff,” Saints coach Rachelle Sayers said. “She comes from a very successful program and is very eager to learn and grow in this profession. I know that she will jump right in and help us get better and will connect well with our current staff as well as our players. She will be working with Bailey Pasta with our guard development as well as assist us in recruiting, scouting and position development."

Edwards comes to Carroll after spending a season as an assistant with the Montana State Billings women’s basketball staff. Prior, Edwards played for the Yellowjackets from 2015-19 and graduated with a degree in Health and Human Performance.

Before that, Edwards attended high school at Great Falls CMR, playing basketball for the Rustlers.

Edwards’ days playing for the Rustlers of CMR and the Yellowjackets of MSUB gave her opportunities to play against a host of the current Fighting Saints roster. She is excited to build upon those existing relationships.

“I am very excited to join the Carroll College WBB coaching staff this year,” Edwards said. “I have a high respect for Rachelle and her staff as well as the athletes here at Carroll. I believe I have some great assets and qualities to bring to the table, and I’m excited to continue to learn and grow my knowledge and understanding as a coach. I’m eager to get started, and I’m prepared to help enlighten the potential of these girls throughout this up-and-coming season.”
