Carroll College women fall at Whitman College

HELENA -- The Carroll College Fighting Saints tied Whitman College 70-70 with 2:41 to go but missed four of their final five shots before falling 74-72 on Saturday at the Whit Classic in Spokane, Washington.

Sienna Swannack led the Saints with 20 points, eight 8-of-15 field goals, including 4-for-7 from the three-point line.

Joining her in double figures were Dani Wagner (13 points), Christine Denny (11 points) and Taylor Salonen (10 points).

It was a tightly contested game throughout, as neither team built up a double-digit lead.

Whitman got 24 points from Mady Burdett, who led all scorers.

Carroll split 1-1 at the Whit Classic, defeating Whitworth on Friday 98-56.

The Saints next travel to Salem, Oregon, to face Corban on Nov. 21.
