WHITEFISH -- Lexi Mikkelsen, Ayla Carpenter and Ali Williams were named the Frontier Conference volleyball players of the week, the league announced on Monday, making it a clean sweep for Carroll College. All three played significant roles in Carroll's win over No. 16 Rocky Mountain College on Friday.

Mikkelsen, a 6-foot-2 sophomore middle hitter from Nine Mile Falls, Wash., posted an average of 5.33 kills per set, netting a .387 attack percentage in the straight-set sweep over the Battlin' Bears. It was Rocky's first conference loss of the season. Mikkelsen was named attacker of the week for the performance.

Carpenter was given the league's defender of the week award after averaging 8.33 digs per set. The 5-foot-9 senior defensive specialist was key in the Fighting Saints' 13th win of the season and fourth in league play.

Williams, a 6-foot1 sophomore setter, recorded averages of 10 assists and three digs per set against the Battlin' Bears. She and Carpenter earned NAIA national player of the week status for their efforts.

Carroll travels to MSU-Northern and the University of Providence on Friday and Saturday, respectively.
