KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Carroll College slipped one spot to No. 7 and Providence fell out of the top 25 in the second NAIA women's basketball top 25 poll of the season, which was released on Wednesday.

Carroll, which is 11-2 on the season, was previously ranked sixth. The Fighting Saints started the season with seven consecutive wins before suffering their first loss at Lewis-Clark State on Dec. 20. They then won their next four games to start Frontier Conference play before losing to Providence on Jan. 10.

The Argos, meanwhile, are 2-2 after not getting to start their season until January. They've split with both Montana Tech and Carroll. Providence was previously ranked 25th and is still among the teams receiving votes.

Montana Western is also among the teams to receive votes but finish outside the top 25 of the rankings. The Bulldogs are 7-1 and currently riding a five-game winning streak.

Campbellsville (Ky.) is the new No. 1-ranked team, replacing Westmont (Calif.), which fell from first to second in the poll. Wayland Baptist (Texas), Thomas Moore (Ky.) and Oklahoma City round out the top five.
