BOZEMAN — No. 1-ranked Montana State returned to Bobcat Stadium for its home opener of the 2026 college football season on Saturday, Sept. 5.
In their annual Gold Rush game, the Bobcats hosted Butler. Both teams were looking to go 2-0 after winning their season openers last week. Montana State, in total, was seeking a program-record 16th consecutive win.
