LARMIE, Wyo. - The Wyoming Cowboys will host eight games inside the Arena-Auditorium during the non-conference portion of the schedule this season, as the Cowboy basketball program announced it non-conference slate on Friday. Wyoming will play four games with teams from the Pac-12, Big 12 and Atlantic Coast Conference.
Season-tickets are available for Cowboy basketball. Contact the UW Ticket Office at GoWyo.com/tickets, by calling 307-766-7220 or in person at the University of Wyoming Athletics Ticket Office on the west side of the Arena-Auditorium. Single game tickets go on sale on Oct. 9. The popular Seat Hopper package, which is the best seat available on gameday is only $135.
The Pokes will participate in the MGM Main Event in T-Mobile Arena on Nov. 24 and Nov. 26. The Pokes will face Front Range foe Colorado in the opener and will then faceoff against either Clemson or former Mountain West rival TCU. The Pokes took the last meeting against CU in Laramie in 2014. If Wyoming faces Clemson, it would mark the first contest against the Tigers since 1987 in the NIT.
Wyoming will host an exhibition contest against Northwest Nazarene on Wednesday, Oct. 30. The Pokes will open the season in the “Dome of Doom” against Idaho State on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Wyoming face-off against South Carolina for the third-straight season heading to Columbia on Sunday, Nov. 10. The Pokes took last season’s meeting between Edwards and his mentor Frank Martin.
Following the South Carolina contest, Wyoming will play four-straight home games. The Pokes will face Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday, Nov. 13 before hosting Oregon State in a Saturday matchup on Nov. 16. The Pokes will take on Detroit Mercy on Tuesday, Nov. 19 and host Louisiana on Thursday, Nov. 21.
Wyoming hosts Northern Colorado on Saturday, Dec. 14 and welcomes Utah Valley on Wednesday, Dec. 18. The Pokes will play a pre-Christmas matchup at Denver on Saturday, Dec 21. The Pokes will close out non-conference play hosting Nebraska-Wesleyan in the Arena-Auditorium on Saturday, Dec. 28.
Game times for all contest will be announced with the Mountain West television package, which will be released at a later date.
