CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Lewis-Clark State College’s Kiara Burlage was named the Cascade Collegiate Conference's Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital women’s basketball player of the week for the second time this year.
Burlage, a 6-foot senior forward from Columbia Falls, led the Warriors in scoring in both games against NCAA Division II Seattle Pacific. LCSC split the two games, winning 68-67 on Friday and losing 72-63 on Saturday.
Burlage tied for a game-high 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including a 2-for-4 mark from 3-point range, in Friday's win. She was also 5 of 6 from the free throw line and added four rebounds and a steal.
On Saturday, she had a game-high 25 points to go along with eight rebounds and a block. She was 8-of-13 shooting from the floor, including 3 of 4 from 3-point range, and 6 of 8 from the free throw line.
