The Yellowjackets finished last season 33-20 overall and 30-10 in conference play to claim the GNAC regular-season title before going undefeated to win the GNAC Championships.

After winning the GNAC Regular Season championship for the fourth time in program history, the Yellowjackets won the conference tournament for the first time and earned their first ever berth to the NCAA Division II west region championship in LaJolla, California where they played Point Loma Nazarene and University of California San Diego.

Before playing in the GNAC post-season tournament for the sixth time in the team’s history, sophomore first baseman Daniel Cipriano led the league in batting average, home runs, and runs batted in to become the second player in GNAC history to win the prestigious Triple Crown.

Cipriano was also named GNAC newcomer of the year and player of the year for his outstanding season.
