GLENDIVE - Wibaux's Odessia Linwood has committed to play volleyball at Dawson Community College, according to DCC head coach Dina Fritz.
Linwood led the Longhorns in blocks her senior year and received the team's Outstanding Senior Female Athlete award along with All-Conference honors in 2019.
"I chose to come to DCC because it is a smaller community and I will have a better chance of getting to know everyone," Linwood said. "Coming to DCC, I will also get a chance to play the sport I love and being closer to home."
"Odessia is a great player to get on our team for the fall," Fritz said. "She will be a great asset for our team on the front line with her blocking capabilities. I am excited to see what the fall brings."
She was on the honor roll for 10 quarters while at Wibaux High School. Linwood also received Academic All-State for two years, reached the State C tournament her junior year and the State C basketball tournament as a senior.
