GLENDIVE - In her last year of women’s basketball competition at Dawson Community College, sophomore point guard Tamiya Francis of Toronto, Canada is leaving her mark in the record books.

On January 27, 2021, in a road game against Lake Region State College, Francis tied the DCC school record with the most steals in a game with 10. The record was set by Roberta Yarlott during the 1992-1993 season. Both Yarlott (Hardin, MT) and Francis surpassed Kim Nissley (Glendive, MT) who originally set it with 9 steals in 1989-1990.

Francis and the Lady Buccaneers are playing for first place tonight at Miles Community College at 5:30pm. The Lady Bucs will return home vs. Rocky Mountain College JV on Thursday, February 4 at 5:30 p.m.
