The Mon-Dak Conference Men's Basketball player of the week is Miles Community College's Deondre Northey.
Northey, a 6-foot-0 sophomore guard from Las Vegas High School in Las Vegas, helped MCC go 2-0 vs Region 9 Sheridan and Northwest College. Northey scored 55 points, shooting 62 percent from the field, had nine rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and two blocked shots in the two wins.
On the season, Northey is averaging 21 points, four rebounds, four assists per game and is shooting 52 percent from the field.
The Pioneers are on a four-game winning streak and are 4-1 on the young season.
