MILES CITY -- Miles Community College head women's basketball coach Taylor Harris announced that Ella Paleaae-Cook from Brisbane, Australia, has signed a letter of intent to play for the Lady Pioneers in the fall of 2021. Paleaae-Cook is the second Australian to sign for Fall 2021 and the eighth Australian to come to Miles City in the past two years.

Paleaae-Cook is from same town of current Lady Pionee, Bree Trego. Paleaae-Cook is currently a member of the NBL1 basketball club Brisbane Capitals. During 2019, Paleaae-Cook was a member of the South Queensland U18 State Team, as well as a member of the Basketball New Zealand U17 team that competed in the FIBA Oceania Championships in New Caledonia.

Paleaae-Cook on why she chose Miles: "I chose Miles because I want to improve my performance on the court and in the classroom. A sense of family is very important to my family, and the program led by Coach Taylor provided the security we needed."
