Miles Community College women post win over Rocky Mountain College JV

MILES CITY -- Freshman Olyvia Pacheco led a balanced scoring effort and the Miles Community College Pioneers used a huge 31-8 second-quarter advantage to handle the Rocky Mountain College JV 79-54 on Thursday night in Miles City.

Pacheco scored 14 points and had nine rebounds to lead a trio of Pioneers in double figures. Lili Long chipped in 12 points and Binta Salawu added 10. Claire Borot added eight points and eight rebounds in the win.

The Pioneers used a 53-percent shooting effort in the first half that helped in the 56-26 halftime advantage. MCC returns home Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game vs. United Tribes.
