MILES CITY -- A back-and-forth match saw Samantha Bonenberger serve out nine straight points after trailing 6-12 in the fifth set and the Pioneers eked out a 3-2 win over Dakota College-Bottineau.
The victory brought MCC to 5-5 in MonDak Conference action and 15-13 overall.
Bonenberger had 43 assists and four aces in the match. Celsa Castro led the team in digs with 20. Hailee Kuske had 15 kills while Taylor Stahl blocked 2.5 times. The Pioneers host Williston State for Sophomore night on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and travel to rival Dawson on Sunday night to end the regular season.
