Miles Community College volleyball bounces back with win

MILES CITY -- Miles Community College shook off its first home loss of the volleyball season with a 3-1 victory over the Rocky Mountain College JV.

The win pushed the Pioneers' record to 6-9 overall (2-1 MonDak) on the season. MCC dominated Game 1 25-15, but the Bears rallied in Game 2 19-25. The Pioneers took charge again in Game 3 with a 25-16 victory and finished off the match 25-22.

Samantha Bonenberger led the charge with 43 assists on the evening. Mariah Simmons notched 16 kills while Matilda Dietz had 13 digs, Hailee Kuske 2.5 blocks, and Andie Batchelor had three aces.

Next up for the Pioneers is a trip to Dickinson, N.D. to play the Dickinson State JV on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m.
