MILES CITY -- The Miles Community College men's basketball team used a hot shooting night and a balanced scoring effort from everyone en route to a 104-62 win over Jamestown JV Friday night at the MCC Centra.
Akeemis Williams led the charge with four 3-pointers and 15 points and three other Pioneers hit double digits in the non-conference win. Gedeon Buzangu added 14 points and six rebounds, Favour Chukwukelu came off the bench to score 14 and Deondre Northey hit for 12 and three assists as the Pioneers built a 22-point halftime lead to cruise to the victory.
Dunstan Esimone added six rebounds and AK Kuany five boards as the Pioneers held a 42-33 rebounding advantage. Jayvon Lewis helped with four assists and three steals. This was the fifth straight win for the Pioneers and they will turn around to play the Providence JV Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m.
