MILES CITY -- Manhattan senior Jasmine Grossman will continue her basketball career in Montana.

Miles Community College announced Grossman signed her national letter of intent with the Pioneers and will join the program next year.

The 5-foot-9 Grossman collected second-team all-conference honors in District 5B a year ago, while also garnering academic all-state honors. As a junior forward, Grossman averaged 10 points and five rebounds per game, while shooting 48 percent from the field. She added an 84-percent stat line from the free throw line.

"I chose Miles Community College because I love the team atmosphere and how welcoming the town is," Grossman said in an MCC release.

The Pioneers also announced the signing of West Yellowstone guard Danna Ochoa. A first-team all-conference selection last winter, Ochoa averaged eight points, five rebounds and three steals for the Wolverines.

"I chose MCC because they are giving me the opportunity to play the sport I love," said Ochoa, who was selected to play in the Southwest Montana Basketball Classic last March. "MCC will help me succeed, they will make sure I do well in every class, and they will make sure I'm on the right track.

"The community is really nice and kind, and that is what I really loved about Miles City. Moving from West Yellowstone to Miles City will not be a big change for me because it is a small community, which is what I want -- a small town where everyone knows eaech other and everyone is nice."
