GLENDIVE - Nicole Green of Hardin has officially signed her NJCAA National Letter of Intent to continue her career at Dawson Community College as a multi-sport athlete. Green will play both softball and volleyball for the Buccaneers.
On the diamond, Green is a corner infielder and will bring more homerun power to the roster next season. Last season, she hit .484 AVE, had a .595 OBP, a slugging percentage of .903. Green had 30 hits which included 17 singles, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 6 homeruns with 24 RBI's, 29 runs scored, and 10 stolen bases. She was named All Conference her sophomore and junior year, Academic All-State and awarded Heart of the Team her junior year.
"Nicole brings outstanding athleticism and strength to our team," said head softball coach Jim LeProwse. "She has tremendous power and is a fierce competitor. Nicole is a very solid corner infielder and hits the ball well for both power and average. I am extremely pleased that Nicole has chosen Dawson to continue her education and athletic career. She will definitely make an impact in our softball program."
