GLENDIVE - Cross country runners at Dawson Community College are on pace for their best meet finish of the season.

The Bucs are coming Friday's encouraging performance at the Jimmie Invitational in Jamestown, ND, shaving minutes off their season-opening times. DCC's men placed sixth.

"Overall the men's team has improved drastically." said head coach Alex Chase. "I'm so proud of them for setting goals, and then working hard to reach them."

Kayla Parisien stood out again for the women placing 9th overall.

"She not only placed well, but she raced hard, and set a lifetime PR (personal record)," Chase said.

The Buccaneers return to racing for their final regular season meet in Dillon on Friday October 18.
