GLENDIVE - The Dawson Community College Buccaneers avenged a two point loss at Gillette College last weekend by knocking off the previously undefeated Pronghorns 80-72 at home Saturday.
Once again Dawson built a 16 point second half lead and Gillette climbed back into it with a 20-6 run, pulling within two points with 4:57 remaining. But this time Dawson hung on for the win.
Camron Dunfee (6'3 sophomore guard) made big plays in the second half to hold on to Dawson's lead, finishing with 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four others finished in double figures for Dawson including Kolten Hitt (6'2 sophomore guard), Man Man Baker (6'0 sophomore guard), Roulervee Vann (6'0 freshman guard), CJ Nelson (6'0 sophomore guard) and Beau Santistevan (6'7 sophomore forward) who also hauled in 7 rebounds.
Tariq Eisa (6'7 freshman wing) led all scorers with 16 points.
