GLENDIVE - Pitcher/infielder Deven Creech of Billings West High is one of three softball players to recently sign with Dawson Community College, according to Bucs' head coach Jim LeProwse.

"She will fit very well into our system here at Dawson," LeProwse said. "She hits the ball well and has homerun power. She has a great attitude and works hard to be the best. Deven comes from a great softball family and also a great high school program. I am very excited to have Deven become part of our softball program here at Dawson. I am looking forward to her having a huge impact on our program."

DCC's additional two signings hail from Utah.

Tia Washington is a pitcher/utility player who hits the ball well to all fields.

"Tia is a very athletic player," LeProwse said. "She comes from an outstanding softball program in Utah and is coached by Mike Anderson at Ridgeline. Through the years, and every single player that we have had from Ridgeline, has been outstanding. I see Tia also being on the list of great players from that area and I look forward to her doing great things here at Dawson."

Laci Leishman is a middle infielder. She also hits the ball well to all fields. Laci has very quick hands and very quick feet. She has very good arm strength and has a great glove.

"We have had a lot of players from coach Mike Anderson's programs through the years and every single one of them have been outstanding players at Dawson," said LeProwse. "I see Laci being another one on the list of great players from that area as well."

LeProwse continued, "They will fit very well into our system here at Dawson. Both are great additions from the state of Utah for our DCC Softball Program."
