DICKINSON, N.D. -- Drew Boedecker had a hand in all four Dickinson State touchdowns on Saturday afternoon to help the Blue Hawks to a 28-13 North Star Athletic Association football win over Waldorf University at the Besiot Activities Center.

Boedecker opened the game with a 19-yard touchdown run on Dickinson State's opening possession to give the Blue Hawks a 7-0 lead. Waldorf scored on a 2-yard touchdown run by Jatoviay Hill to tie things up early in the second quarter. A 20-yard field goal by Slater Gifford gave the Warriors a 10-7 lead at halftime.

The Blue Hawks took off in the third quarter, though. Boedecker again took control of the Blue Hawks' offense on the opening drive of the second half, marching Dickinson State down and capping the 12-play drive with a 1-yard touchdown run. Boedecker then hit Noah Sickler from 34 yards out just minutes later to give DSU a 21-10 lead.

Boedecker's fourth touchdown of the game came with just less than three minutes remaining in the third quarter, as his 7-yard rushing TD put the Blue Hawks up 28-10.

Waldorf dominated possession, holding the ball nearly 13 minutes longer than DSU, but the Warriors turned the ball over three times and gave the Blue Hawks short fields.

Scobey's Riley Linder continued his solid season for DSU, carrying the ball 19 times for 72 yards, and Alec Lovegren, a Sidney native, added 61 rushing yards on 11 carries. Tyger Frye, a former Billings Senior standout, had five catches for 57 yards.

Dickinson State is now 7-0. The Blue Hawks will visit Valley City State University on Oct. 31.
