BILLINGS — A Glendive football player has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing the cancellation of the Red Devils' game against Billings Central Friday night in Lockwood.
Glendive confirmed the cancellation to Central around 2:30 p.m. Friday after learning about the positive. The game was supposed to be Homecoming for Central. Associated activities will now be re-scheduled, according to principal Shel Hanser.
The news comes less than 24 hours after Sidney canceled all weekend activities because of several positive cases among students and staff. Sidney beat Glendive 31-26 in football last Friday night.
Central and Glendive are hoping to make up the game at some point in the coming days, but nothing has been decided yet.
