GARDINER -- Gardiner outlasted Sheridan in a fiercely contested 6-man West matchup as the Bruins defeated the Panthers 32-31 at home on Saturday afternoon.
It was senior day for the Bruins and one of those upperclassman showed up big for Gardiner in their final home game of the regular season. Senior Elijah Byrd had three touchdowns in the first half alone.
The Bruins now move to 4-3 (2-2 West) while Sheridan falls to 3-5 (0-4 West). Gardiner is on the short week as they hit the road Thursday to face Hot Springs.
