Fort Benton is on a mission.

The Longhorns continue to climb in the MontanaSports.com high school football power rankings, moving into a tie for second place with Alberton-Superior, after Fort Benton took care of Great Falls Central 46-35 over the weekend. The Horns (5-0) built a 32-0 lead after the opening quarter in the win.

The Mustangs held at No. 5, despite the loss to the Longhorns, while West Yellowstone kept its grip on No. 4 in the 8-Man rankings.

Fairview remains No. 1 in 8-Man, while the rest of the classifications also saw no movement at the top. Billings West, Billings Central, Fairfield and Wibaux are also top-ranked according to the power rankings.

Helena Capital fell from the Class AA's top five, though the Bruins still received votes, while Bozeman re-inserted itself into the rankings. The Hawks are fifth behind Helena High, which handed Missoula Hellgate its first loss of the season.

Hamilton's win over previously-unbeaten Frenchtown vaulted the defending runners-up back near the top of the Class A rankings. The Broncs, led by brothers Carson and Tyson Rostad in Friday's win, sit No. 2 behind Billings Central. Dillon held firm at No. 3, while Frenchtown fell to fourth. Miles City climbed into the top five, while four other teams -- Libby, Whitefish and Laurel -- all received votes this week.

Class B's most impressive win of the weekend, Red Lodge's 35-0 shutout against Huntley Project, pushed the Rams into the No. 4 slot, moving past Glasgow, which made its debut last week. Missoula Loyola fell from the polls, despite defeating Bigfork on Friday night.

The 6-Man power rankings saw minimal movement, with Hot Springs and Jordan swapping places, as the Savage Heat now sit No. 3 after ranking fourth last week. Wibaux and Big Sandy continue to gather the majority of the votes on the 6-Man fields.
