WORDEN -- Red Lodge is in the driver's seat of the Eastern B conference title race after shutting out Huntley Project in Worden Friday night, 35-0.

Red Lodge didn't waste any time getting on the scoreboard. The Rams capped their opening drive with a 20-yard touchdown run by Finnegan Davis. Davis would add his second touchdown run with 7:29 to go in the second quarter to give Red Lodge a 14-0 lead.

From there, the Red Lodge defensive line went to work. Huntley Project struggled to muster anything offensively, and Red Lodge defensive end Elijah Reynolds found himself in the Red Devils' backfield several times.

The quick defensive possessions allowed the Red Lodge offense to stay in a rhythm. In the closing moments of the first half, Jay Jetmore took a jet sweep 35 yards to the end zone to give the Rams a 21-0 lead at halftime.

Davis would find the end zone for the third time on the Rams' opening possession of the second half. Davis ripped off a huge run down the left sideline to put Red Lodge in the red zone. He then capped the drive with a 4-yard plunge to push Red Lodge's lead to 28-0.

As time wound down in the third quarter, Red Lodge dealt the knockout punch. On fourth down in Huntley Project territory, quarterback Austin Heimer threw a screen to Braden Tomlin, who weaved in and out of the defense for a 34-yard score.

With the win, Red Lodge moves to 5-0 and 3-0 in Eastern B play. Red Lodge will host Poplar on Oct. 4. Huntley Project travels to Baker on Oct. 4.
