CORVALLIS -- Hamilton's Jaiden Klemundt narrowly missed scoring a touchdown on a punt return in the first quarter of the Broncs' Class A football game at Corvallis on Friday.

He more than made up for it a few series later, making a sensational one-handed catch on a well-placed pass from Tyson Rostad for a highlight-reel TD.

That score put Hamilton up 25-0 in the first quarter, and the new-look Broncs rolled to a 53-6 win in their first on-field action of 2020. Hamilton won its season-opening game last week via forfeit after Butte Central opted not to play.

The Broncs made up for lost time on Friday, scoring early and often against the Blue Devils. Ben Tack opened the scoring with a 7-yard TD run, and then Aiden Sisson scored a short TD after Klemundt was tackled at the 2-yard line on the aforementioned punt return. Eli Taylor did find the end zone on a punt return moments later, and Klemundt's highlight catch put Hamilton up 25-0 at the end of the first quarter.

The scoring onslaught continued in the second quarter, as Rostad scored on a 1-yard quarterback run, Ben Rooney added a 10-yard run and then Rostad found Taylor for a 12-yard score through the air. Hamilton led 46-0 at halftime, instituting a running clock in the second half.

Another Rooney touchdown in the third quarter made it 53-0 before Corvallis finally got on the board in the fourth.

Hamilton improved to 2-0 in the Western A, while Corvallis slipped to 1-1.
