Twelve Class A football teams learned their postseason fate on Friday night, after the regular-season finales were played across the state.

Miles City and Dillon were crowned conference champions, with the Cowboys (8-0), the lone undefeated in the classification, winning the Eastern A title. Dillon (8-1) won the Western A by virtue of a head-to-head tiebreaker over Hamilton (8-1). The Beavers defeated the Broncs 26-25 on Sept. 20.

Libby's win over Frenchtown shook up the Western A standings, which held the possibility of a three-way tie atop the rankings. But the Loggers' 8-6 victory launched them past Frenchtown for the No. 3 slot in the league, while the Broncs fell to fourth. Whitefish and Butte Central round out the Western A's playoff teams.

Dillon and Hamilton receive byes in the opening round next weekend.

Miles City capped an undefeated season with a 46-6 win over Sidney on Friday night, carrying momentum into the postseason. The Cowboys will be joined by Laurel in receiving first round byes, after the Locomotives (7-1) clinched the No. 2 seed. Billings Central (6-2) will be third, Havre (4-4) fourth and Lewistown (4-4) is the No. 5 seed.

Glendive (3-5) held on for the sixth and final spot in the East.
