Butte Central’s next two football games have been canceled after more positive COVID-19 cases were reported at the Butte school.

Two positive cases of COVID-19 were reported recently at the Butte school, including one football player, according to Butte Central president and head football coach Don Peoples Jr.

The Maroons have canceled their Friday home game against Columbia Falls and their Oct. 30 game against Stevensville.

Peoples said Butte Central is looking for an opponent that isn’t in the playoffs that would like to play the Maroons on Nov. 3 or 4 for the final game of the season.
