SUNBURST -- Denton-Geyser-Stanford built a 22-0 lead and never looked back in a 67-14 6-Man North football win at Sunburst on Friday.

The Bearcats opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 9-yard touchdown run from Zack Solomon before pouring it on in the second quarter. DGS added two passing TDs, another rushing score and returned an interception for a touchdown in the second quarter to take a 34-7 lead into halftime.

The second half brought more of the same, as the Bearcats scored three third-quarter touchdowns -- two on defense -- and two fourth-quarter TDs in the lopsided win.

Dylan Taylor scored six touchdowns -- one receiving, two rushing and three defensive -- for DGS, which was playing the game without coach Matt Neumann, who missed the game for the birth of his daughter.

Jaden Koon had both touchdowns for Sunburst.

DGS improved to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the 6-Man North A sub-division, while Sunburst fell to 1-5 overall and 1-2 in conference.
