Linebacker and running back Troy Andersen, a 2018 third-team All-America, earned first-team preseason honors at Athlete. The junior from Dillon played quarterback a season ago. Offensive tackle Mitch Brott and defensive end Bryce Sterk, both seniors, earned third-team preseason honors. Brott has started 35 consecutive games, while Sterk led the Big Sky Conference in tackles-for-loss and sacks in the regular season as a junior last year.

The Bobcat trio joined 10 other Big Sky players on the STATS FCS preseason teams. Montana State’s first practice of preseason camp is Friday.
